Oak Crest’s Munchkin Division offers two program options for 3 to 5-year-olds: a 5 full-day and a 3 full-day program. We maintain a low camper-to-staff ratio, with each group consisting of 10 to 12 campers and 3 to 4 staff members. Our primary focus is on safety and providing personalized care.
Swimming is a key component of the Munchkin Program. We place a strong emphasis on helping campers build comfort and proficiency in the water. Our dedicated Munchkin Specialists lead various activities aimed at enhancing gross and fine motor skills, ensuring an age-appropriate and enriching experience for your child.
Similar to the Munchkin program, our Explorers program involves a blend of athletic and creative activities. It focuses on improving swimming abilities and nurturing social and emotional intelligence. For first graders, we introduce exciting activities such as the Climbing Tower, Zipline, Giant Swing, and GAGA. Second-grade campers have the opportunity to customize their experience by selecting preferred activities on a weekly basis during CHOICE periods.
In the Plainfield-based Oak Crest program for Juniors, a diverse array of activities awaits, spanning Archery, Mountain Biking, Lacrosse, High Ropes, BMX, Skatepark, and Camper vs. Wild. This comprehensive program encompasses both athletic and creative pursuits, featuring Instructional Swim and access to the Climbing Tower. Juniors also partake in Late Nights, offering extended camp hours, a special dinner, additional swim time, games, a unique event, and a twilight campfire with S’mores for added enjoyment.
Senior campers at Oak Crest in Plainfield partake in an extensive range of activities, including camp-wide options, numerous stimulating day trips like Dorney Park, and an array of advanced choices. Their experience also involves Senior Late Nights, which extend camp hours, include special dinners, extra swim time, games, exclusive events, and culminate with a twilight campfire featuring S’mores.
During the Choice period at Plainfield’s Oak Crest, campers have the opportunity to pick a specific activity for the week. Each week, campers can select a fresh Choice from a continuously evolving list of activities. In addition to the diverse athletic and creative options, Senior campers can also opt to participate in our annual Drama Production or join our special Dance routine, known as Showcrest. The Senior involvement in both the Drama and Dance productions consistently stands out as a highlight of the show.

The Leadership-in-Training (LIT) Experience in Plainfield is an immersive program designed for 9th, 10th, or 11th graders, centered around practical leadership skill development within a dynamic context. Participants concentrate on honing problem-solving abilities, acting as role models, and collaborating effectively in a team. This program places a strong emphasis on instilling responsibility, with the overarching goal of preparing LITs for future achievements in college and their professional careers, while also grooming them for potential roles as exemplary camp staff.
