Oak Crest offers two program options for children aged 3 to 5 in the Munchkin Division: a 5 full-day and a 3 full-day program. Our commitment to maintaining a low camper-to-staff ratio, with groups consisting of 10 to 12 campers and 3 to 4 staff members, ensures personalized attention and a focus on safety and nurturing care.
One key emphasis of the Munchkin Program is swimming. We prioritize building comfort and proficiency in the water, recognizing the importance of water safety and skills development. In addition, our program incorporates a variety of athletic and creative activities, facilitated by specially trained Munchkin Specialists. These activities are carefully designed to enhance gross and fine motor skills, providing an age-appropriate and enriching experience for your child.
In the Explorers program at Princeton Junction, similar to the Munchkin Division, children participate in athletic and creative activities, work on improving their swimming abilities, and cultivate social and emotional intelligence. First graders are introduced to exciting elements such as the Climbing Tower, Zipline, Giant Swing, and GAGA to add a sense of adventure to their experience. By the time they reach second grade, campers can enjoy CHOICE periods, allowing them to select their preferred activities on a weekly basis for a more personalized and engaging camp experience.
In Princeton Junction, the Junior program at Oak Crest offers a diverse array of activities, encompassing Archery, Mountain Biking, Lacrosse, High Ropes, BMX, Skatepark, and Camper vs. Wild. This program combines both athletic and creative pursuits, includes instructional swim sessions, and provides access to the Climbing Tower.
Juniors also have the opportunity to partake in Late Nights, which extends camp access and includes special dinner arrangements, additional swim time, games, a unique event, and a twilight campfire featuring S’mores for an enhanced camp experience.
In Princeton Junction, senior campers at Oak Crest have the opportunity to fully engage in all camp activities, including various stimulating day trips such as Dorney Park. Additionally, they can choose from a wide selection of advanced activities through the Choice program.
Senior Late Nights are also part of their experience, providing extended camp hours, a special dinner, extra swim sessions, additional games, a distinctive event, and an evening campfire complete with S’mores for a well-rounded and enriching camp adventure.
In Princeton Junction, the Choice program allows campers to choose a specific activity to engage in for the week, with the option to select a new activity each week from a rotating list. In addition to the wide range of athletic and creative activities, senior campers also have the opportunity to play a role in our annual Drama Production or participate in a special Dance routine, collectively known as Showcrest. It’s worth noting that the performances featuring senior campers in both the Drama and Dance productions are consistently the highlight of the show.
In Princeton Junction, Oak Crest’s camp counselors take on the role of guiding groups through team-building activities and competitions, with the primary aim of nurturing teamwork, support, and effective communication among campers. The LIT (Leadership-in-Training) Experience in Princeton Junction provides a practical and dynamic platform for 9th, 10th, or 11th graders to hone their leadership skills.
