Summer Camp near Whitehouse Station
Oak Crest Day Camp, situated near Whitehouse Station, NJ, is the ultimate summer destination tailored to children aged 3 to 15 years. Known for its convenience, the camp offers door-to-door transportation, easing the lives of busy parents. Oak Crest provides a diverse range of activities designed to engage and inspire children across different age groups. Younger campers can enjoy swimming, bicycling, rock climbing, and arts and crafts, blending fun and educational experiences.
As children mature, they can participate in specialized programs, including day trips and overnight excursions, offering adventure and opportunities for independence. These activities aim to cultivate essential life skills. Whether your child seeks to learn swimming, master biking, or develop social, teamwork, and leadership abilities, Oak Crest fosters a supportive and dynamic environment for their growth.

3-5 Year Olds (Munchkins)
Oak Crest offers both 5 full-day and 3 full-day programs tailored for children aged 3 to 5 in our Munchkin Division, ensuring a low camper-to-staff ratio for individualized attention. Each group consists of 10 to 12 campers, supervised by 3 to 4 staff members, with a strong emphasis on safety and nurturing care.
Swimming Instruction:Our Munchkin Program places a significant focus on swimming, aiming to instill comfort and proficiency in the water. Furthermore, the program enhances gross and fine motor skills through a range of athletic and creative activities. These activities are led by specially trained Munchkin Specialists to provide age-appropriate and enriching experiences.
Explorers (1st and 2nd Graders)
In the Explorers program, akin to the Munchkin division, participants partake in athletic and creative pursuits while focusing on improving swimming abilities and fostering social and emotional intelligence. First-grade campers are introduced to activities such as the Climbing Tower, Zipline, Giant Swing, and GAGA. In the second grade, campers have the opportunity to choose their preferred activities during CHOICE periods on a weekly basis, allowing for personalized experiences.
Juniors (3rd & 4th Graders)
At Oak Crest near Whitehouse Station, our Junior program offers a diverse array of activities such as Archery, Mountain Biking, Lacrosse, High Ropes, BMX, Skatepark, and Camper vs. Wild. The curriculum encompasses both athletic and creative pursuits, as well as Instructional Swim and access to the Climbing Tower. Juniors also relish Late Nights, which extend camp access and include a special dinner, additional swim time, games, a unique event, and a twilight campfire featuring S’mores.
Teen Travel (7th, 8th, & 9th Graders)
During the Choice period, campers in Whitehouse Station have the opportunity to pick an activity for the week. Each week, campers can opt for a different activity from a constantly evolving list. Besides the array of athletic and creative options, Seniors can also opt to take part in our annual Drama Production or engage in a special Dance routine. Our annual Dance and Drama Production, known as Showcrest, consistently features the standout performances of our Senior participants.
Social Development
At Whitehouse Station’s Oak Crest, camp counselors take charge of guiding groups through team-building challenges and competitions, emphasizing the cultivation of teamwork, support, and effective communication. This structured framework is instrumental in fostering respect and the establishment of lasting friendships. Oak Crest enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy against bullying, steadfast in its commitment to creating a nurturing environment where children and young adolescents can develop crucial emotional and social skills.
LIT Program (10th & 11th Graders)
The LIT (Leadership-in-Training) Experience, based in Whitehouse Station, offers practical leadership skill development in a dynamic environment, geared towards enriching the camp experience for younger attendees. Open to 9th, 10th, and 11th graders, this program places a strong emphasis on problem-solving, serving as role models, and fostering teamwork. It instills a sense of responsibility, with the goal of preparing LITs for future achievements in their academic and professional pursuits, including the potential to excel as outstanding members of camp staff.
