Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 07033
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students actively participate in our Teen Travel Program at our 07033 location in New Jersey. Teen campers enjoy a dynamic experience with a mix of on-site Oak Crest activities and off-site day and overnight trips. Specifically, 7th graders have camp sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day excursions. Conversely, 8th and 9th graders follow a different schedule, attending camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while dedicating Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to travel adventures. Moreover, our Teen participants have the option to choose between 2-day or 3-day overnight trips for added exploration.
At our New Jersey location in 07033, Camp Oak Crest offers a well-structured program for teenagers, emphasizing group engagement. Under the guidance of thoroughly vetted counselors, teens are organized into groups of 10-15 campers and follow a structured daily schedule. This schedule encompasses two sessions of free swim, along with a variety of activities, including the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, as well as a selection of athletic and creative pursuits. Additionally, teens enjoy two designated Choice periods, affording them the flexibility to choose their preferred activity during each session, enabling exploration of a diverse range of activities.
At our New Jersey location in 07033, Oak Crest maintains a rigorous commitment to safety for our teenage campers when they venture outside the camp premises. Our Teen Travel programs adhere to the Oak Crest Travel Protocols, ensuring a secure environment. All Teen Travel campers and their parents are required to sign the Teen Travel Behavior Contract, which outlines expectations and safety guidelines.
Similar to other divisions within the camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are overseen by responsible adult Division Heads. These individuals are responsible for supervising their respective divisions within the camp and accompanying campers on both day and overnight trips. Our dedicated Teen Staff members undergo specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and address the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
