Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 07059
At Oak Crest, our Teen Travel Program caters to 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students at our 07059, New Jersey location. Our teen campers participate in a dynamic range of Oak Crest activities and have the exciting opportunity to venture on both day and overnight trips beyond the camp grounds. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day excursions. Conversely, 8th and 9th graders have camp sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with travel days scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Furthermore, our Teen participants have the choice of embarking on 2- or 3-day overnight trips to enhance their camp experience.
At our New Jersey location in 07059, Camp for teens follows a well-structured group schedule. Campers are organized into groups of 10-15 individuals and are under the attentive supervision of rigorously screened counselors. The daily schedule encompasses two sessions of free swim, along with engaging activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses. It also offers a diverse range of athletic and creative pursuits. Additionally, there are two designated Choice periods during the day. These Choice periods grant teens the flexibility to select their preferred activities, enabling them to explore a wide variety of options by choosing a different activity during each Choice period.
At our New Jersey location in 07059, Oak Crest maintains rigorous safety protocols for our teen campers when they venture outside the camp premises. All participants and their parents are obliged to sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs, like other divisions within the camp, are closely overseen by an adult Division Head. These Division Heads are responsible for the overall supervision of their respective divisions within the camp and accompany them on both day and overnight trips. Our Teen Staff members undergo specialized training to adeptly supervise campers in public spaces and effectively address the unique challenges often associated with early adolescence.
