Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 07060
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students actively participate in our Teen Travel Program, situated in the 07060 area of New Jersey. Our teenage campers not only engage in a wide range of Oak Crest activities but also have the opportunity to embark on both day and overnight trips, expanding their horizons. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with dedicated days for day trips on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Conversely, 8th and 9th graders follow a schedule where they attend camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, reserving Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for their travel days. Additionally, teens can opt for 2- or 3-day overnight trips to further enrich their camp experience.
Located in 07060, New Jersey, our teen camp at Camp Oak Crest follows a meticulously designed and supervised group schedule. Campers operate in groups consisting of 10-15 individuals, each overseen by thoroughly vetted counselors. The schedule comprises two designated periods for free swim, as well as engaging activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses. In addition, a variety of athletic and creative pursuits are offered. Furthermore, our program incorporates two Choice periods, providing teens with the autonomy to select their preferred activity. This flexibility allows them to explore a diverse range of activities, with the option to choose a new one during each Choice period.
In our New Jersey location, situated at 07060, Oak Crest places paramount importance on safety when our teen campers venture beyond the camp premises. Our teenagers strictly adhere to the Oak Crest Travel Protocols for Safety. To ensure this commitment, all Teen Travel campers and their parents are required to sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract.
Just like other divisions within the camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs operate under the diligent supervision of an adult Division Head. These experienced individuals are responsible for overseeing the division’s activities within the camp and accompanying campers on both day and overnight trips.
Moreover, our dedicated Teen Staff undergoes specific training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and handle the unique challenges associated with the early adolescent age group, reinforcing our commitment to providing a safe and enriching camp experience.
