Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 07067
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students actively participate in our Teen Travel Program at the 07067 location in New Jersey. Within this program, teen campers not only partake in Oak Crest’s engaging activities but also have the exciting opportunity to venture on various day and overnight trips outside of the camp premises. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, while dedicating Tuesdays and Thursdays to day trips. Conversely, 8th and 9th graders have camp sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays, reserving Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for travel days. Additionally, teens have the choice to embark on 2- or 3-day overnight trips to enhance their summer experience.
At our New Jersey location in 07067, teenagers attending Camp follow a meticulously organized group schedule. They are divided into groups of 10-15 campers, under the vigilant supervision of thoroughly screened counselors. This schedule incorporates two intervals for free swim, diverse activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative endeavors, and two Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teenagers have the liberty to select their preferred activities, affording them the opportunity to explore a wide spectrum of options by choosing a different activity during each Choice period.
At our New Jersey location in 07067, when our teenagers venture beyond the camp premises, they strictly adhere to Oak Crest’s Travel Protocols for Safety. All Teen Travel campers and their parents are required to sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Similar to other divisions within the camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are overseen by an adult Division Head, responsible for the division’s supervision within the camp, as well as accompanying them on both day and overnight trips. Our Teen Staff undergoes specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and manage the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
