Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 07095
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students actively participate in the Teen Travel Program located in 07095, New Jersey. Our teen campers not only engage in Oak Crest activities but also have the exciting opportunity to embark on both day and overnight trips outside the camp premises. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. On the other hand, 8th and 9th graders follow a different schedule, attending camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays and embarking on travel days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Furthermore, teens can choose between 2-day and 3-day overnight trip options.
At our New Jersey location in 07095, Camp provides a structured group schedule for our teen participants. Campers operate within groups of 10-15 individuals, under the supervision of thoroughly vetted counselors. The daily schedule comprises two free swim sessions, along with activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, offering a blend of athletic and creative endeavors. Additionally, there are two Choice periods built into the schedule. During these Choice periods, teens enjoy the freedom to select their preferred activities, granting them the opportunity to explore a diverse range of options by choosing a new activity during each Choice period.
At our New Jersey location in 07095, we maintain rigorous safety measures for our teens when they venture beyond the camp premises, following the Oak Crest Travel Protocols for Safety. All Teen Travel campers, along with their parents, are required to sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Similar to other camp divisions, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are closely overseen by an adult Division Head, responsible for the division’s operations within the camp and accompanying campers on day and overnight trips. Our Teen Staff members undergo specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and address the unique challenges that arise during early adolescence.
