Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 07690
At Oak Crest in 07690, New Jersey, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students engage in our Teen Travel Program. This program offers a rich blend of on-site activities and off-site exploration. 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. In contrast, 8th and 9th graders reverse this schedule, spending Tuesdays and Thursdays at camp while traveling on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Additionally, teens have the option to embark on 2- or 3-day overnight trips for added adventure.
In our 07690, New Jersey location, Camp for teens follows a well-organized group schedule. Campers, typically 10-15 in each group, are closely supervised by rigorously screened counselors. The schedule consists of two designated free swim sessions, various activities including the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative endeavors, and two Choice periods. These Choice periods grant teenagers the freedom to select their preferred activity, encouraging them to explore a diverse range of options during each Choice period
At our 07690, New Jersey location, the safety of our teen campers is paramount, even when they venture beyond our campgrounds. We maintain strict adherence to the Oak Crest Travel Protocols for Safety. Every Teen Travel camper, along with their parents, is required to sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Similar to other divisions within our camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are overseen by an adult Division Head. These dedicated professionals are responsible for the overall supervision of their respective divisions, accompanying campers on both day and overnight excursions. Our Teen Staff members undergo specialized training to ensure effective supervision in public spaces and to address the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
