Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 07921
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students actively participate in the Teen Travel Program located in 07921, New Jersey. This program offers a unique blend of on-campus activities at Oak Crest and exciting off-campus day and overnight trips. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for off-campus excursions. In contrast, 8th and 9th graders follow a different schedule, attending camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while dedicating Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to travel days. Additionally, teenagers have the flexibility to choose between 2- or 3-day overnight trips to enhance their summer experience.
Located in 07921, New Jersey, Camp offers a structured group schedule for teenagers, ensuring an organized and enriching experience. Campers are grouped in cohorts of 10-15, overseen by meticulously screened counselors. The daily schedule comprises two designated free swim sessions, engaging activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative options, and two Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teens have the freedom to select their preferred activities, providing them with the opportunity to explore a wide range of interests as they choose a new activity during each Choice period
At our 07921, New Jersey location, the safety and well-being of our teenagers are of utmost importance. While outside the camp premises, our teens diligently follow the Oak Crest Travel Protocols for Safety, which have been put in place to ensure their security and protection. All Teen Travel campers and their parents are required to sign a Teen Travel Behavior Contract, underscoring our commitment to responsible behavior.
Similar to other divisions within the camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are overseen by an experienced adult Division Head, responsible for the supervision of the division and accompanying campers on both day and overnight trips. Our Teen Staff is specially trained to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and address the unique challenges associated with early adolescence, further enhancing the safety and quality of the camp experience.
