Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 07938
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students actively participate in our Teen Travel Program situated in 07938, New Jersey. This program offers an array of engaging activities on-site, alongside opportunities for day and overnight trips. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. Conversely, 8th and 9th graders follow a different schedule, attending camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while dedicating Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to travel days. Additionally, teens have the option to choose between 2- or 3-day overnight trips.
At our New Jersey location in 07938, Camp for teens operates under a well-organized group schedule. Campers are grouped into sizes of 10-15, closely supervised by rigorously screened counselors. The schedule encompasses two designated free swim sessions, various activities such as the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a wide array of athletic and creative pursuits, and two Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teenagers have the liberty to select their preferred activities, affording them the opportunity to explore a diverse range of options by choosing a different activity during each Choice period.
At our New Jersey location in 07938, the safety of our teens is paramount, especially when they are off the camp premises. We have stringent safety protocols in place known as the Oak Crest Travel Protocols. All Teen Travel campers and their parents must sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract, ensuring a commitment to safety and responsible behavior.
In line with our approach throughout the camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are overseen by experienced adult Division Heads. These Division Heads are responsible for managing their respective divisions within the camp and accompany the teens on both day and overnight trips, providing additional supervision and guidance.
Our dedicated Teen Staff undergoes specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and address the unique challenges that come with early adolescence, ensuring a safe and enriching experience for all our teen campers.
