Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 07939
At Oak Crest, our Teen Travel Program caters to 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students, situated in the 07939 area of New Jersey. Our teenage campers engage in a diverse range of activities at Oak Crest while also enjoying the opportunity for both day and overnight excursions. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. Conversely, 8th and 9th graders participate on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with travel days scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Furthermore, our Teen campers can choose between 2-day and 3-day overnight trips to enhance their summer experience.
At our New Jersey location in 07939, Camp Oak Crest provides a well-organized structure for our teenage campers. They follow a carefully crafted group schedule, moving in groups of 10-15 campers, closely supervised by rigorously screened counselors. This schedule comprises two designated periods for free swim, a variety of engaging activities such as the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a selection of athletic and creative pursuits, and two Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teens enjoy the flexibility to select their preferred activity, allowing them to explore a diverse range of options by choosing a new activity during each Choice period.
At our location in 07939, New Jersey, Camp Oak Crest places a strong emphasis on safety when our teens venture beyond the camp premises. Our Teen Travel campers, along with their parents, are required to sign the Teen Travel Behavior Contract, which outlines our strict safety protocols. Like other divisions within our camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are overseen by an experienced adult Division Head. These Division Heads are responsible for the supervision of their respective divisions within the camp and accompany the teens on both day and overnight trips. Our Teen Staff members undergo specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and address the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
