Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 07978
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students are part of our Teen Travel Program located in 07978, New Jersey. This program offers a unique blend of on-site activities and off-site adventures. Seventh graders participate in camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. In contrast, 8th and 9th graders attend camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with travel days scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Additionally, teens have the option to choose from 2-day or 3-day overnight trips to further enhance their experience.
At our New Jersey location in 07978, Camp Oak Crest provides a structured program for teens. Campers follow a well-organized group schedule, with each group consisting of 10-15 participants, closely monitored by screened counselors. The daily schedule encompasses two free swim sessions, engaging activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative endeavors, and two Choice periods. These Choice periods grant teens the autonomy to select their preferred activities, fostering exploration and diversity as they choose new activities during each of these designated times.
At our New Jersey location in 07978, Camp Oak Crest prioritizes the safety of our teen campers when they venture beyond the campgrounds. We have implemented rigorous Oak Crest Travel Protocols for Safety, which all Teen Travel campers and their parents must acknowledge by signing the Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Similar to other divisions within the camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are overseen by an adult Division Head. These experienced professionals are responsible for the well-being of their respective divisions during both day and overnight trips.
Our dedicated Teen Staff members are specially trained to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and are equipped to handle the unique challenges associated with early adolescence, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all campers.
