Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08504
At Oak Crest in 08504, New Jersey, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students actively participate in our Teen Travel Program. Teen campers enjoy a blend of on-site Oak Crest activities and have the opportunity to embark on diverse day and overnight trips. 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. In contrast, 8th and 9th graders have camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with travel days scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Additionally, teens can choose between 2- or 3-day overnight trips to further enhance their summer experience.
At our New Jersey location in 08504, Camp provides a structured group schedule for teens, ensuring their safety and engagement. Campers are organized into groups of 10-15, under the supervision of meticulously screened counselors. This daily schedule encompasses two sessions of free swim, an assortment of activities including the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, as well as a variety of athletic and creative options. Additionally, there are two designated Choice periods, granting teens the freedom to select their preferred activity during each period, fostering exploration and diversity in their camp experience.
At our New Jersey location in 08504, the safety of our teens is paramount, both on and off the camp premises. All Teen Travel campers, along with their parents, are required to sign the Teen Travel Behavior Contract to ensure compliance with Oak Crest’s Travel Protocols for Safety. Similar to other camp divisions, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are overseen by a responsible adult Division Head. These Division Heads are responsible for the overall supervision of their respective divisions within the camp and accompany campers on both day and overnight trips. Our dedicated Teen Staff undergoes specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and handle the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
