Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08540
At Oak Crest’s New Jersey location in 08540, 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students are immersed in the engaging Teen Travel Program. Our teen campers not only enjoy on-site Oak Crest activities but also have the opportunity to embark on both day and overnight trips. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, dedicating Tuesdays and Thursdays to day trips. In contrast, 8th and 9th graders attend camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with travel days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Additionally, participants can choose from 2- or 3-day overnight trips.
At our New Jersey location in 08540, Teen Camp follows a structured group schedule, ensuring a safe and engaging experience. Campers are organized into groups of 10-15, with dedicated counselors overseeing each group. The schedule includes two periods of free swim, exciting activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative options, as well as two Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teens enjoy the flexibility to select their preferred activities, allowing them to explore a diverse range of experiences by choosing a new activity during each Choice period.
At our New Jersey location in 08540, the safety of our teen campers is paramount when they venture beyond our camp premises. We have implemented strict Oak Crest Travel Protocols to ensure their well-being. All Teen Travel campers and their parents must sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract as a commitment to safety. Similar to other divisions within the camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are overseen by an adult Division Head, responsible for the division’s supervision during camp activities and accompanying them on day and overnight trips. Our dedicated Teen Staff undergo specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and address the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
