Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08541
At our 08541 location in New Jersey, Oak Crest offers a unique Teen Travel Program tailored for 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students. This program allows teens to immerse themselves in Oak Crest activities while also embarking on exciting day and overnight trips. 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day excursions. On the other hand, 8th and 9th graders have camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with travel days scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Additionally, teens have the option to choose between 2- or 3-day overnight trips, enhancing their summer camp experience.
At our New Jersey location, specifically 08541, Camp for teens operates under a well-structured group schedule. Teens participate in various activities within groups of 10-15 campers, closely supervised by thoroughly vetted counselors. The daily schedule comprises two sessions of free swim, opportunities to enjoy activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a diverse selection of athletic and creative endeavors, and two Choice periods. These Choice periods grant teens the freedom to select their preferred activities, enabling them to explore a wide range of options by choosing a new activity during each Choice period.
At our New Jersey location in 08541, the safety of our teen campers remains our utmost priority. When off-campus, our teens strictly adhere to the rigorous Oak Crest Travel Protocols for Safety. All Teen Travel campers and their parents are required to sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract to ensure a safe and responsible experience. Both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs operate under the guidance of a dedicated adult Division Head who oversees the division’s activities within the camp and accompanies them on both day and overnight trips. Our Teen Staff undergoes specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and handle the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
