Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08542
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students actively participate in the Teen Travel Program situated in 08542, New Jersey. In this program, teenagers have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a variety of Oak Crest activities and venture on both day and overnight trips. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. Conversely, 8th and 9th graders follow a different schedule, attending camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while engaging in travel days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Furthermore, participants can choose between 2-day and 3-day overnight trips, adding to the diverse range of experiences available.
Located in 08542, New Jersey, Camp offers a structured group schedule for teenagers. Under the guidance of carefully screened counselors, teens follow a supervised format, moving in groups of 10-15 campers. The daily schedule comprises two free swim periods, various activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative pursuits, as well as two Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teenagers have the autonomy to select the activities they wish to participate in, enabling them to explore a diverse range of options by choosing a new activity during each Choice period.
At our 08542, New Jersey location, Oak Crest ensures the safety of our teens when they venture beyond the camp premises by strictly adhering to the Oak Crest Travel Protocols for Safety. All Teen Travel campers and their parents are required to sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract, which outlines expected conduct and safety guidelines. Much like other divisions within the camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are overseen by a responsible adult Division Head. These Division Heads are responsible for supervising the respective divisions within the camp and accompany the teens on both day and overnight trips. Our dedicated Teen Staff undergoes specific training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and address the unique challenges associated with early adolescence, ensuring a secure and enriching experience for all participants.
