Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08550
At our 08550 location in New Jersey, Oak Crest offers a specialized Teen Travel Program for students in 7th, 8th, and 9th grades. This program provides an engaging blend of on-site activities at Oak Crest and exciting day and overnight trips. Seventh graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with dedicated Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. In contrast, 8th and 9th graders follow a schedule where they are at camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with travel days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Furthermore, teens have the option to choose between 2- or 3-day overnight trips to enhance their summer experience.
At our New Jersey location in 08550, Camp Oak Crest provides a well-organized and supervised environment for teenagers. Teens follow a structured group schedule, with 10-15 campers per group, overseen by thoroughly vetted counselors. The schedule includes two designated free swim periods, engaging activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative options, and two Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teens have the opportunity to select and participate in activities of their choice, allowing them to explore a diverse range of activities by making new selections during each Choice period.
At our New Jersey location in 08550, the safety of our teenage campers is our top priority. When our teens venture outside the camp premises, they strictly adhere to Oak Crest Travel Protocols for Safety. Every Teen Travel camper and their parents are required to sign a Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Just like other divisions within the camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are closely supervised by an experienced adult Division Head, responsible for overseeing the division within the camp and accompanying them on both day and overnight trips. Our dedicated Teen Staff undergoes specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and handle the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
