Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08558
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students are actively involved in our Teen Travel Program situated in the 08558 area of New Jersey. Our Teen campers enjoy a dynamic array of Oak Crest activities and have the opportunity to explore both day and overnight trips beyond the camp’s grounds. Specifically, 7th graders participate in camp activities on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with Tuesdays and Thursdays dedicated to day trips. Conversely, 8th and 9th graders attend camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while their travel days are on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Additionally, Teens have the choice of opting for either 2- or 3-day overnight trips.
At our New Jersey location in 08558, our Teen Camp follows a well-organized group schedule. Campers, typically in groups of 10-15, are supervised by thoroughly vetted counselors as they transition between various activities. This schedule encompasses two designated free swim periods, engaging experiences like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative activities, and two Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teens enjoy the freedom to select the activities they wish to partake in, providing them with the opportunity to explore a diverse range of options by choosing a new activity during each Choice period.
In our 08558, New Jersey location, the safety of our teens is paramount when they venture outside the camp premises. We strictly enforce the Oak Crest Travel Protocols for Safety in such instances. Every Teen Travel camper, along with their parents, must sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract as a commitment to abide by these protocols. Similar to other divisions within our camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are overseen by an experienced Division Head. These Division Heads are responsible for supervising their respective divisions within the camp and accompanying them on both day and overnight trips. Our dedicated Teen Staff undergoes specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and manage the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
