Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08805
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students participate in the Teen Travel Program at our 08805 location in New Jersey. This program allows teen campers to engage in Oak Crest activities while also providing the opportunity for exciting day and overnight trips. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. On the other hand, 8th and 9th graders attend camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with travel days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Additionally, teens have the option to choose between 2- or 3-day overnight trips.
At our New Jersey location in 08805, Camp offers a structured group schedule for teenagers, ensuring their safety and enjoyment. Teens are organized into groups of 10-15 campers, closely supervised by meticulously screened counselors. The daily schedule comprises two free swim sessions, a variety of activities including the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, as well as a wide range of athletic and creative pursuits. Additionally, there are two Choice periods incorporated into the schedule, granting teens the freedom to select their preferred activities during these times, allowing for exploration of diverse options as they can choose a new activity during each Choice period.
At our New Jersey location in 08805, the safety of our teen campers is paramount, especially when they are off-site. We maintain strict adherence to the Oak Crest Travel Protocols to ensure their well-being. All Teen Travel campers and their parents are required to sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract as part of this commitment to safety. Like other divisions at our camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are overseen by an adult Division Head who assumes responsibility for their supervision during camp activities and excursions, whether they are day trips or overnight journeys. Our Teen Staff members undergo specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and manage the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
