Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08807
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students actively participate in our Teen Travel Program, situated in the 08807 area of New Jersey. Our Teen campers not only engage in a variety of Oak Crest activities but also have the exciting opportunity to explore numerous day and overnight trips. To provide a detailed schedule, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. In contrast, 8th and 9th graders follow a different schedule, attending camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while their travel days fall on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Furthermore, our Teens have the flexibility to choose between 2- or 3-day overnight trips, adding to their adventurous summer experience.
At our New Jersey location in 08807, Camp offers a structured and engaging experience for teens. Campers follow a carefully designed group schedule, with each group consisting of 10-15 campers under the supervision of thoroughly screened counselors. This schedule encompasses two free swim sessions, an assortment of activities such as the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a wide array of athletic and creative pursuits, and the unique feature of two Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teens enjoy the freedom to select the activity of their preference, affording them the opportunity to explore a diverse range of activities by choosing a new one during each Choice period.
At our location in 08807, New Jersey, the safety of our teens remains paramount, both within and beyond our camp premises. We diligently adhere to the Oak Crest Travel Protocols for Safety whenever our teens embark on off-site adventures. Prior to participating, all Teen Travel campers and their parents are required to endorse our Teen Travel Behavior Contract, affirming their commitment to safety guidelines. Just like other divisions within the camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs operate under the vigilant supervision of an experienced adult Division Head. These Division Heads are entrusted with overseeing their respective divisions within the camp and accompanying the teens on day and overnight trips, ensuring their well-being and adherence to safety protocols. Our dedicated Teen Staff members undergo specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and adeptly handle the unique challenges associated with early adolescence, further enhancing the safety and quality of the Teen Travel experience.
