Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08816
At our 08816, New Jersey location, Oak Crest offers an enriching Teen Travel Program tailored for 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students. Within this program, teens partake in a blend of Oak Crest activities while also embarking on both day and overnight trips. 7th graders engage in camp activities on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. In contrast, 8th and 9th graders attend camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with travel days scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Additionally, teens have the option to opt for either 2- or 3-day overnight trips.
At our New Jersey location in 08816, Oak Crest Camp provides a structured and engaging experience for teenagers. Campers adhere to a group schedule, where they are organized into smaller groups of 10-15, each under the supervision of thoroughly screened counselors. The daily schedule comprises two free swim sessions, various activities including the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a selection of athletic and creative pursuits, and two Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teens have the freedom to select and participate in activities of their choice, enabling them to explore a wide range of options as they choose a different activity during each Choice period.
At our location in 08816, New Jersey, Oak Crest Camp prioritizes safety for our teenage campers during off-campus activities. We implement strict Oak Crest Travel Protocols to ensure their well-being. All Teen Travel participants and their parents must sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Similar to other camp divisions, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are overseen by an adult Division Head, responsible for managing the division within the camp and accompanying them on both day and overnight trips. Our dedicated Teen Staff undergo specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and address the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
