Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08817
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students participate in our Teen Travel Program located in 08817, New Jersey. Within this program, teen campers engage in a variety of Oak Crest activities and have the opportunity to explore both day and overnight trips. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. In contrast, 8th and 9th graders attend camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with travel days scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Furthermore, teens have the option to choose between 2- or 3-day overnight trips.
At our New Jersey location in 08817, Camp for teens maintains a structured group schedule, ensuring a safe and engaging experience. Teens are organized into groups of 10-15 campers, overseen by thoroughly vetted counselors. This schedule includes two dedicated periods for free swim, a variety of activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, as well as an assortment of athletic and creative options. Additionally, teens enjoy two Choice periods, granting them the freedom to select their preferred activities, encouraging exploration of a diverse range of options with the opportunity to try something new during each Choice period.
At our New Jersey location in 08817, the safety of our teens is paramount, especially when they venture beyond the camp premises. We have established stringent Oak Crest Travel Protocols for Safety that all teen campers, along with their parents, must adhere to. These protocols are outlined in our Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Similar to other divisions within the camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are overseen by a responsible adult Division Head who ensures the division’s safety during day and overnight trips. Our dedicated Teen Staff undergoes specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and address the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
