Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08818
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students actively participate in our Teen Travel Program located in 08818, New Jersey. Our teen campers enjoy a wide range of engaging activities within Oak Crest and have the exciting opportunity to embark on various day and overnight trips. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. Conversely, 8th and 9th graders have camp sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while their travel days are on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Additionally, our Teens can choose from 2- or 3-day overnight trips to enhance their camp experience.
At our New Jersey location in 08818, Camp offers a structured group schedule for teens, ensuring a well-organized and supervised experience. Teens are grouped in cohorts of 10-15 campers, under the vigilant supervision of screened counselors. The schedule encompasses two designated periods for free swim, engaging activities such as the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative pursuits, and two Choice periods. These Choice periods grant teens the freedom to select their preferred activities, enabling them to explore a diverse range of options by choosing a different activity during each Choice period.
At our location in 08818, New Jersey, Oak Crest enforces rigorous safety measures for our teens when they are off-site. Teen Travel campers and their parents are obligated to sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Like other divisions within the camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are overseen by an adult Division Head. This supervisor is responsible for managing the division within the camp and accompanies them during both day and overnight excursions. Our dedicated Teen Staff undergoes specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and address the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
