Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08822
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students are active participants in our Teen Travel Program, located in 08822, New Jersey. This program offers an immersive camp experience coupled with exciting day and overnight trips. 7th graders engage in camp activities on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day excursions. On the other hand, 8th and 9th graders participate in camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with travel days occurring on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Additionally, teens have the option to partake in 2- or 3-day overnight trips.
Located in 08822, New Jersey, Camp provides a well-structured experience for teenagers, with an emphasis on group dynamics. Campers are organized into groups of 10-15 individuals, closely monitored by our thoroughly vetted counselors. The daily schedule comprises two free swim sessions, adventure activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of sports and creative endeavors, and two Choice periods. These Choice periods grant teens the autonomy to select their preferred activities, fostering exploration of a diverse range of options during each period.
In our 08822, New Jersey location, the safety of our teens remains a paramount concern when venturing outside the camp premises. We enforce rigorous safety protocols known as the Oak Crest Travel Protocols, which all Teen Travel campers and their parents must acknowledge through the Teen Travel Behavior Contract. As with other divisions at our camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are under the vigilant supervision of an adult Division Head. These supervisors are responsible for overseeing the division’s activities within the camp and accompanying them on both day and overnight trips. Furthermore, our dedicated Teen Staff undergo specialized training to effectively oversee campers in public spaces and address the unique challenges that accompany the early adolescent age group.
