Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08823
At our Oak Crest facility in 08823, New Jersey, we offer the Teen Travel Program for 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students. Our teen campers engage in Oak Crest activities while also having the opportunity to explore day and overnight trips. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. Conversely, 8th and 9th graders follow a schedule with camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and travel days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Additionally, teens have the option to participate in 2- or 3-day overnight trips.
At our New Jersey location in 08823, Camp offers a structured group schedule for teenagers, ensuring their safety and engagement. Teens are organized into groups of 10-15 campers, with close supervision by thoroughly screened counselors. The schedule comprises two free swim periods, exciting activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative pursuits, and two Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teens have the freedom to select their preferred activities, providing them with the opportunity to explore a wide range of options by choosing a new activity during each Choice period.
At our New Jersey location in 08823, Oak Crest places a strong emphasis on safety when our teens venture outside the camp premises. All Teen Travel campers, along with their parents, are required to sign the Teen Travel Behavior Contract, committing to adhere to Oak Crest Travel Protocols for Safety. Similar to other camp divisions, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are under the vigilant supervision of an adult Division Head. These experienced professionals oversee the division’s activities within the camp and accompany the teens on both day and overnight trips. Our dedicated Teen Staff members receive specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and manage the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
