Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08824
At Oak Crest’s 08824, New Jersey location, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students actively participate in our Teen Travel Program. Our campers enjoy a dynamic blend of Oak Crest activities and the opportunity to embark on diverse day and overnight trips. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. In contrast, 8th and 9th graders’ camp schedule includes Tuesdays and Thursdays, with travel days scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Additionally, teens can choose between 2- or 3-day overnight trips.
At our New Jersey location in 08824, Camp Oak Crest maintains a well-organized schedule for our teenage campers. They follow a structured group routine, with each group consisting of 10-15 campers, all under the vigilant supervision of carefully screened counselors. The daily schedule encompasses two free swim sessions, a variety of activities including the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, as well as a wide range of athletic and creative pursuits. Additionally, there are two designated Choice periods where teens can exercise their freedom to select activities of their choice. This flexibility allows them to explore a diverse selection of activities, as they have the opportunity to choose a new one during each Choice period.
At our 08824, New Jersey location, the safety of our teen campers remains our top priority, even when they are off the camp premises. To ensure their well-being, all Teen Travel campers and their parents are required to sign our comprehensive Teen Travel Behavior Contract, which outlines our strict Oak Crest Travel Protocols for Safety. Similar to other divisions within the camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are under the vigilant supervision of an experienced adult Division Head. These dedicated leaders are responsible for overseeing their respective divisions within the camp and accompany campers on both day and overnight trips. Our Teen Staff undergoes specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and is equipped to handle the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
