Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08828
At Oak Crest, our Teen Travel Program in 08828, New Jersey, is designed for 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students. Our program allows teens to participate in both on-site Oak Crest activities and explore various day and overnight trips. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. In contrast, 8th and 9th graders follow a different schedule, attending camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays and embarking on travel days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Additionally, teens have the option to choose between 2- or 3-day overnight trips for added adventure.
At our New Jersey location in 08828, Camp Oak Crest provides a structured group schedule for teenagers. Campers participate in activities in groups of 10-15, under the supervision of rigorously screened counselors. The schedule encompasses two free swim sessions, engaging activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative endeavors, as well as two Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teens enjoy the freedom to select their preferred activity, providing them with the opportunity to explore a diverse range of options by choosing a new one during each Choice period.
At our 08828, New Jersey location, the safety of our teenagers remains our top priority. When venturing beyond the camp premises, Oak Crest enforces stringent Travel Protocols for Safety. Every Teen Travel camper and their parents are required to sign a Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Similar to other camp divisions, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are diligently supervised by an adult Division Head. These Division Heads are responsible for overseeing their respective divisions within the camp and accompany campers on both day and overnight trips. Our dedicated Teen Staff undergoes specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and handle the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
