Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08835
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students actively participate in our Teen Travel Program, located in 08835, New Jersey. Our teen campers engage in a variety of Oak Crest activities and also have the opportunity to explore both day and overnight trips. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, while dedicating Tuesdays and Thursdays to day trips. Conversely, 8th and 9th graders follow a schedule where they are at camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with travel days occurring on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Furthermore, our Teens have the flexibility to choose between 2- or 3-day overnight trips.
In our 08835, New Jersey location, teenagers at Camp follow a well-organized group schedule. They transition between activities in groups consisting of 10-15 campers, under the supervision of meticulously selected counselors. This schedule comprises two designated free swim periods, along with a variety of activities such as the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses. Additionally, teens have access to a wide range of athletic and creative pursuits. Furthermore, there are two ‘Choice’ periods within the schedule, offering adolescents the opportunity to select activities based on their preferences. This flexibility allows them to explore a diverse range of activities, as they can choose a new one during each Choice period.
In our 08835, New Jersey location, when campers venture beyond our camp premises, our teenage participants adhere rigorously to the Oak Crest Travel Protocols for Safety. All Teen Travel campers and their parents are required to sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract, demonstrating their commitment to safety and responsible behavior. Similar to other divisions within the camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are under the vigilant supervision of an adult Division Head. These Division Heads are responsible for overseeing their respective divisions within the camp and accompanying the campers on both day and overnight trips, ensuring their well-being and safety. Our dedicated Teen Staff undergoes specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and to address the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
