Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08844
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students actively participate in our Teen Travel Program located in 08844, New Jersey. This program offers a diverse range of activities within Oak Crest’s facilities and extends the experience with various day and overnight trips. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, dedicating Tuesdays and Thursdays to day trips. In contrast, 8th and 9th graders follow a different schedule, attending camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with travel days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Additionally, teens have the option to participate in 2- or 3-day overnight trips.
At our New Jersey location in 08844, teenagers attending Camp follow a well-structured group schedule. They are organized into small groups of 10-15 campers, each under the supervision of meticulously screened counselors. This schedule encompasses two sessions of free swim, engaging activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative pursuits, and two designated Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teenagers have the freedom to select activities according to their preferences, giving them the opportunity to explore a diverse array of activities by choosing a new one during each Choice period.
At our New Jersey location in 08844, strict adherence to Oak Crest’s Travel Safety Protocols is paramount when our teens venture outside the camp premises. All Teen Travel campers, along with their parents, must sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract as a mandatory requirement. Much like other divisions within our camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are placed under the vigilant supervision of an adult Division Head. This Division Head takes on the responsibility of overseeing the respective divisions within the camp and accompanies them on both day and overnight trips. Furthermore, our dedicated Teen Staff undergoes specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and address the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
