Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08846
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students participate in the Teen Travel Program located in 08846, New Jersey. This program offers a unique blend of on-site Oak Crest activities and exciting day and overnight trips. 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. In contrast, 8th and 9th graders follow a different schedule, attending camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while their travel days occur on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Additionally, participants can choose between 2- or 3-day overnight trips to enhance their summer experience
At our New Jersey location in 08846, teens attending Camp follow a well-organized group schedule. They participate in various activities within groups of 10-15 campers, under the supervision of rigorously vetted counselors. The schedule encompasses two free swim periods, exciting activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative pursuits, and two Choice periods. These Choice periods provide teens with the autonomy to select their preferred activities, enabling them to explore a diverse range of options by choosing a new activity during each Choice period.
At our New Jersey location in 08846, strict adherence to Oak Crest Travel Protocols for Safety is a priority when our teens venture beyond the camp premises. All Teen Travel campers and their parents are required to sign a Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Just like other camp divisions, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are under the watchful supervision of an adult Division Head. These dedicated professionals oversee the division’s activities within the camp and accompany them on both day and overnight trips. Our specially trained Teen Staff is equipped to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and handle the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
