Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08852
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students participate in our Teen Travel Program at our 08852, New Jersey location. Teen campers engage in Oak Crest activities and explore day and overnight trips beyond camp. 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. On the other hand, 8th and 9th graders follow a schedule where they attend camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with travel days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Additionally, teens have the option to choose between 2-day or 3-day overnight trips.
At our New Jersey location in 08852, Camp provides a structured group schedule for teenagers. They participate in activities within small groups of 10-15 campers, closely supervised by thoroughly vetted counselors. The schedule incorporates two free swim sessions, exciting activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative options, and two designated Choice periods. These Choice periods grant teens the freedom to select their preferred activities, encouraging them to explore a diverse range of options by choosing new activities during each Choice period.
At our 08852, New Jersey location, when venturing beyond the camp premises, our teenage participants strictly adhere to Oak Crest Travel Protocols for Safety. All Teen Travel campers and their parents are required to sign the Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Just like other camp divisions, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are under the vigilant supervision of an adult Division Head, who holds the responsibility for overseeing the division within the camp and accompanying them on both day and overnight trips. Our dedicated Teen Staff is extensively trained to proficiently supervise campers in public spaces and address the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
