Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08853
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students participate in the Teen Travel Program located in 08853, New Jersey. Our Teen campers engage in a dynamic mix of Oak Crest activities and have the opportunity to embark on diverse day and overnight trips beyond the camp premises. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. In contrast, 8th and 9th graders follow a schedule with camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, complemented by travel days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Additionally, Teens have the option to choose between 2- or 3-day overnight trips.
In our 08853, New Jersey location, Camp Oak Crest provides a structured group schedule for its teen participants. These teens are organized into groups comprising 10-15 campers, all under the attentive supervision of thoroughly vetted counselors. The daily schedule entails two designated periods for free swim, engaging activities such as the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative pursuits, as well as two Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teenagers have the freedom to select the activities they wish to participate in, granting them the opportunity to explore a diverse range of options by choosing a new activity during each Choice period.
In our 08853, New Jersey location, the safety of our teens is of paramount importance. When outside the camp premises, strict adherence to the Oak Crest Travel Protocols is mandatory. All Teen Travel campers and their parents are required to sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract to ensure a safe and responsible experience. Much like other divisions within our camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are overseen by a qualified adult Division Head. These Division Heads are responsible for managing their respective divisions within the camp and accompany the campers on both day and overnight trips. Our dedicated Teen Staff undergoes specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and address the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
