Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08854
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students actively participate in the Teen Travel Program situated in 08854, New Jersey. Our Teen campers immerse themselves in a diverse range of Oak Crest activities while also embarking on exciting day and overnight trips beyond the campgrounds. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. In contrast, 8th and 9th graders follow a different schedule, attending camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while their travel days fall on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Moreover, Teens have the option to select either 2-day or 3-day overnight trips to further enhance their summer camp experience.
At our New Jersey location in 08854, Camp Oak Crest maintains a structured group schedule for our teenage campers. They engage in activities within small groups comprising 10-15 campers, closely supervised by rigorously screened counselors. This schedule features two designated periods for free swim, exciting experiences like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative endeavors, as well as two Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teenagers have the freedom to select their preferred activity, enabling them to explore a diverse range of options by choosing a new activity during each Choice period.
At our New Jersey location in 08854, Oak Crest prioritizes the safety of our teenage campers when they venture outside the camp premises. We enforce rigorous Oak Crest Travel Protocols to ensure their well-being. All Teen Travel campers and their parents are required to sign a Teen Travel Behavior Contract, affirming their commitment to safety guidelines. In alignment with other camp divisions, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are overseen by experienced adult Division Heads. These Division Heads hold responsibility for supervising their respective divisions within the camp and accompany the campers on both day and overnight trips. Our dedicated Teen Staff undergo specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and handle the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
