Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08863
At Oak Crest’s 08863, New Jersey location, 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students actively participate in our Teen Travel Program. This program allows teens to engage in Oak Crest activities and explore a variety of day and overnight trips. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. Conversely, 8th and 9th graders follow a different schedule, attending camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while dedicating Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to travel days. Additionally, teens have the flexibility to choose between 2-day and 3-day overnight trips.
At our New Jersey location in 08863, Camp Oak Crest offers a structured group schedule for teens. They navigate their day in groups of 10-15 campers, under the attentive supervision of screened counselors. The schedule encompasses two designated free swim sessions, various activities including the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative pursuits, and two Choice periods. These Choice periods grant teens the freedom to select their preferred activities, fostering exploration as they opt for new experiences during each Choice period.
In our 08863, New Jersey location, the safety of our teens outside the camp premises is paramount, and we strictly enforce the Oak Crest Travel Protocols. All Teen Travel campers, along with their parents, are required to sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Similar to other divisions within the camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are under the vigilant supervision of an adult Division Head. These Division Heads are entrusted with overseeing their respective divisions within the camp and accompanying the teens on both day and overnight trips. Furthermore, our dedicated Teen Staff undergoes specialized training to adeptly supervise campers in public spaces and navigate the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
