Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08869
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students actively participate in the Teen Travel Program, located in 08869, New Jersey. Within this program, teenage campers engage in a wide range of Oak Crest activities while also having the exciting opportunity to venture on both day and overnight trips beyond the camp premises.
Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. On the other hand, 8th and 9th graders follow a different schedule, attending camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while dedicating Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to travel days. Additionally, our Teen campers can choose between 2-day and 3-day overnight trips to further enhance their summer experience.
In our New Jersey location, situated in 08869, Camp for teenagers operates under a well-structured group schedule. Teens are organized into groups of 10-15 campers, each under the supervision of thoroughly screened counselors. This schedule encompasses two dedicated periods for free swim, along with engaging activities such as the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses. Furthermore, a diverse range of athletic and creative pursuits is included, offering a holistic experience.
Notably, there are two Choice periods integrated into the schedule. During these Choice periods, teenagers have the flexibility to select activities according to their preferences, allowing them to explore a diverse array of options by choosing a new activity during each Choice period.
In our New Jersey location at 08869, the safety of our teens is of paramount importance. When our teen campers venture outside the camp premises, they adhere strictly to Oak Crest’s Travel Protocols for Safety. It is mandatory for all Teen Travel campers and their parents to sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract, reinforcing our commitment to safety.
Much like other divisions within our camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are placed under the diligent supervision of an adult Division Head. These Division Heads are responsible for overseeing the division within the camp and accompany the teens on both day and overnight trips, ensuring a secure and enjoyable experience.
Our dedicated Teen Staff undergoes specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and address the unique challenges associated with early adolescence, further enhancing the safety and quality of our programs.
