Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08876
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students participate in our Teen Travel Program located in 08876, New Jersey. Our Teen campers engage in a wide range of Oak Crest activities and have the opportunity to explore both day and overnight trips beyond the camp premises. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. On the other hand, 8th and 9th graders are on-site on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while their travel days are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Moreover, Teens can choose between 2-day or 3-day overnight trips to enhance their camp experience.
At our New Jersey location in 08876, Camp for teens operates under a structured group schedule. Teens participate in activities within small groups of 10-15 campers, closely supervised by thoroughly vetted counselors. This structured schedule consists of two designated free swim periods, opportunities to partake in activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative pursuits, as well as two Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teens enjoy the flexibility to select their preferred activity, enabling them to explore a diverse range of options by choosing a new one during each Choice period.
At our location in 08876, New Jersey, when outside of the camp premises, our teenage participants diligently follow the Oak Crest Travel Safety Protocols. All Teen Travel campers and their parents are required to sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Just like other sections of the camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are overseen by an adult Division Head, responsible for managing the division within the camp and accompanying campers on both day and overnight trips. Our Teen Staff undergoes specialized training to proficiently supervise campers in public spaces and address the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
