This schedule includes two dedicated periods for free swim, participation in activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, engagement in a wide spectrum of athletic and creative endeavors, and the incorporation of two Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teenagers enjoy the flexibility to select the activities they wish to participate in, allowing them to explore a diverse range of options by choosing a new activity during each Choice period.
At our New Jersey location in 08880, Oak Crest places a paramount emphasis on safety when our teens venture beyond the camp premises. Our Teen Travel program strictly adheres to the Oak Crest Travel Protocols for Safety, ensuring the well-being of our campers.
To reinforce this commitment, all Teen Travel campers and their parents are required to sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Furthermore, akin to other divisions within the camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are placed under the supervision of an adult Division Head. These Division Heads are responsible for overseeing their respective divisions within the camp and accompany campers on both day and overnight trips.
Our dedicated Teen Staff members undergo specialized training to proficiently supervise campers in public spaces and effectively address the unique challenges associated with early adolescence. This comprehensive approach to safety ensures that our campers have a secure and enjoyable experience while participating in our Teen Travel programs.
