Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08884
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students actively participate in our Teen Travel Program, situated in 08884, New Jersey. This program allows teen campers to engage in a variety of Oak Crest activities while also providing the opportunity to explore both day and overnight trips outside of the camp’s premises. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. In contrast, 8th and 9th graders follow a different schedule, being at camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and embarking on travel days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Additionally, teens have the option to choose between 2- or 3-day overnight trips.
At our 08884, New Jersey location, our Teen Camp offers a structured group schedule, ensuring a well-organized and supervised experience. Campers are grouped in sizes of 10-15 and are closely supervised by carefully screened counselors. The daily schedule includes two designated periods for free swim, engaging activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative options, and two Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teens have the flexibility to select the activity of their choice, allowing them to explore a diverse array of activities by choosing something new during each Choice period.
At our 08884, New Jersey location, the safety of our teens remains a top priority, both within and outside the camp premises. When venturing outside of the camp, our teens diligently follow the Oak Crest Travel Protocols for Safety. All Teen Travel campers and their parents are required to sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract, reinforcing our commitment to safety and responsible behavior.
Similar to other divisions within the camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are overseen by a dedicated adult Division Head. These experienced leaders are responsible for supervising their respective divisions within the camp and accompanying them on both day and overnight trips. Our Teen Staff members undergo specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and address the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
