Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08889
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students are active participants in our Teen Travel Program situated in 08889, New Jersey. Our Teen campers not only engage in enriching Oak Crest activities but also have the opportunity to embark on both day and overnight trips beyond the camp premises. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. Conversely, 8th and 9th graders’ camp attendance falls on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while their travel days occur on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Furthermore, our Teen participants can choose between 2- or 3-day overnight trips to enhance their summer experience.
Located in 08889, New Jersey, our Camp for teenagers follows a well-organized group schedule. Teens move through activities in groups, typically consisting of 10-15 campers, under the supervision of thoroughly vetted counselors. The daily schedule encompasses two sessions of free swim, exciting activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative endeavors, and two Choice periods. These Choice periods grant teens the freedom to select their preferred activities, encouraging them to explore a diverse range of options by choosing a different activity during each Choice period.
In our 08889, New Jersey location, when teens venture outside the camp premises, we prioritize safety by strictly adhering to Oak Crest’s Travel Protocols. Every Teen Travel camper and their parents are required to sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Just like other divisions within the camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are supervised by an adult Division Head. These Division Heads hold the responsibility of overseeing their respective divisions within the camp and accompany them on both day and overnight trips. Our dedicated Teen Staff undergoes specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and manage the unique challenges that come with early adolescence.
