Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08890
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students actively participate in our Teen Travel Program situated in 08890, New Jersey. Our Teen campers not only engage in Oak Crest activities but also have the opportunity to explore a variety of day and overnight trips beyond the camp premises. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. In contrast, 8th and 9th graders attend camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with travel days scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Moreover, Teens can choose between 2- or 3-day overnight trips to enhance their summer experience.
At our New Jersey location in 08890, Camp offers a well-structured program for teens. They follow a structured group schedule, with 10-15 campers per group, under the supervision of thoroughly screened counselors. The daily schedule comprises two free swim periods, exciting activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative pursuits, as well as two Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teens have the freedom to select their preferred activities, encouraging them to explore a diverse range of options by choosing a different activity during each period.
At our New Jersey location in 08890, Oak Crest maintains a strong commitment to safety for our teen campers during off-campus activities. All Teen Travel participants, along with their parents, are required to sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract, which outlines our safety protocols. Similar to other camp divisions, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs operate under the guidance of an adult Division Head. These Division Heads are responsible for overseeing their respective divisions within the camp and accompany campers on both day and overnight trips. Our dedicated Teen Staff undergo specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and address the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
