Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08899
At Oak Crest in 08899, New Jersey, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students engage in our Teen Travel Program. This program offers teens the opportunity to participate in a variety of camp activities and explore day and overnight trips. 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. Conversely, 8th and 9th graders attend camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with travel days occurring on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Additionally, teens have the choice of 2- or 3-day overnight trips for added adventure.
At our New Jersey location in 08899, Camp offers a structured group schedule for teenagers. Campers move in supervised groups of 10-15, led by rigorously screened counselors. The schedule features two designated free swim periods, engaging activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative pursuits, as well as two Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teens enjoy the flexibility to select their preferred activities, enabling them to explore a diverse range of options by choosing a different activity during each Choice period.
At our New Jersey location in 08899, the safety of our teens is of utmost importance. When outside the camp premises, strict adherence to Oak Crest Travel Protocols is mandatory. All Teen Travel campers and their parents are required to sign the Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Similar to other camp divisions, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are overseen by an adult Division Head. These experienced leaders are responsible for supervising their respective divisions within the camp and accompany the teens on both day and overnight trips. Our dedicated Teen Staff members are specially trained to provide effective supervision in public spaces and handle the unique challenges that come with guiding adolescents.
