Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08901
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students are actively involved in our Teen Travel Program at our 08901 location in New Jersey. This program offers a unique blend of on-campus activities at Oak Crest and exciting day and overnight trips. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. In contrast, 8th and 9th graders follow a different schedule, attending camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while their travel days are on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Additionally, our Teen campers have the option to partake in 2- or 3-day overnight trips, adding to their adventurous experiences.
Located in 08901, New Jersey, Camp provides a structured group schedule for our teenage participants. These campers are organized into groups of 10-15 individuals, closely supervised by carefully screened counselors. The daily schedule comprises two free swim sessions, a variety of activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a selection of athletic and creative options, and two Choice periods. These Choice periods offer teens the autonomy to select their preferred activities, encouraging them to explore a diverse range of options by choosing a new activity during each Choice period.
At our 08901, New Jersey location, the safety of our teenage campers remains our top priority, especially when they venture outside the camp premises. To ensure a secure environment, all Teen Travel campers and their parents are required to sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Similar to other divisions within our camp, such as the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs, both are overseen by a responsible adult Division Head. These Division Heads are in charge of supervising their respective divisions within the camp and accompany them on both day and overnight trips. Additionally, our dedicated Teen Staff undergo specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and address the unique challenges that come with the early adolescent age group.
