Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08904
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students participate in our Teen Travel Program located in 08904, New Jersey. Our teen campers enjoy a dynamic mix of on-site activities and off-site day and overnight trips. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. In contrast, 8th and 9th graders follow a different schedule, attending camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays and embarking on travel days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Furthermore, teens have the flexibility to choose between 2- or 3-day overnight trips for added adventure.
At our New Jersey location in 08904, teenagers attending Camp follow a meticulously organized group schedule. They are organized into small groups of 10-15 campers, with dedicated and thoroughly screened counselors overseeing their activities. The daily schedule encompasses two sessions of free swim, engaging activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a wide variety of athletic and creative pursuits, and two Choice periods. These Choice periods grant teenagers the freedom to select their preferred activity, offering them the opportunity to explore a diverse range of activities by choosing a new one during each Choice period.
At our location in 08904, New Jersey, the safety of our teens is of utmost importance. Whenever our teen campers venture beyond the camp premises, they strictly adhere to Oak Crest Travel Protocols for Safety. Both Teen Travel programs, catering to 7th graders and 8th & 9th graders, require campers and their parents to sign a Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Similar to other divisions within the camp, these programs are overseen by experienced adult Division Heads who are responsible for the division’s overall supervision, accompanying campers on both day and overnight trips. Our dedicated Teen Staff undergo specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and address the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
