Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near 08989
At Oak Crest, our 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students actively participate in our Teen Travel Program located in 08989, New Jersey. Our Teen campers not only engage in Oak Crest activities but also have the opportunity to explore a variety of day and overnight trips. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. Conversely, 8th and 9th graders attend camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with travel days scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Additionally, Teens can choose between 2- or 3-day overnight trips to enhance their camp experience.
At our location in 08989, New Jersey, Camp for teens follows a structured group schedule. Campers operate within small groups of 10-15, closely supervised by meticulously screened counselors. The schedule features two designated free swim periods, a variety of activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, an array of athletic and creative endeavors, and two Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teens enjoy the freedom to select their preferred activities, enabling them to explore a diverse range of options by choosing a new activity during each Choice period.
At our New Jersey location in 08989, Oak Crest enforces rigorous safety protocols for our teen campers when they venture outside the camp premises. All Teen Travel participants, along with their parents, must sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Similar to other divisions within the camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs operate under the supervision of an adult Division Head. These Division Heads are responsible for overseeing their respective divisions within the camp and accompany campers on both day and overnight trips. Our Teen Staff undergo specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and manage the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
