Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near Bedminster
At Oak Crest, our Teen Travel Program in Bedminster, New Jersey caters to 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students. Our program combines engaging on-site activities with opportunities for exciting day and overnight trips. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. Conversely, 8th and 9th graders attend camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with travel days scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Additionally, teenagers can choose between 2-day and 3-day overnight excursions to further enhance their camp experience.
At our Camp in Bedminster, New Jersey, teenagers follow a well-organized group schedule, ensuring a safe and enriching experience. They participate in activities within groups of 10-15 campers, under the supervision of meticulously screened counselors. The daily schedule encompasses two free swim sessions, exciting options like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative endeavors, as well as two Choice periods. These Choice periods grant teens the autonomy to select their preferred activity, enabling them to explore a diverse range of options by choosing a new one during each Choice period.
At our Bedminster, New Jersey location, the safety of our teens is paramount, especially when they venture beyond the camp premises. We enforce strict adherence to Oak Crest Travel Protocols for Safety in these instances. All Teen Travel campers and their parents are required to sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract, underscoring their commitment to responsible behavior during trips.
In alignment with our other camp divisions, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are overseen by adult Division Heads. These experienced professionals take on the responsibility of supervising the respective divisions within the camp, accompanying them on both day and overnight trips. Our dedicated Teen Staff undergoes specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces, equipped to handle the unique challenges associated with the early adolescent age group.
