At our Franklin Park, New Jersey location, teenagers at Camp follow a well-organized group schedule. They are grouped in cohorts of 10-15 campers, closely supervised by carefully vetted counselors. The daily schedule comprises two periods dedicated to free swim, engaging activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of sports and creative endeavors, and two Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teens enjoy the freedom to select activities according to their preferences, allowing them to explore a diverse array of options by choosing a new one during each Choice period.
At our Franklin Park, New Jersey location, when our teenagers venture outside the camp premises, we maintain a strict adherence to the Oak Crest Travel Protocols for Safety. All Teen Travel campers and their parents must sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Just like other divisions within the camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are supervised by an adult Division Head. These Division Heads are responsible for overseeing the division within the camp and accompanying them on both day and overnight trips. Our dedicated Teen Staff undergoes specialized training to ensure effective supervision of campers in public spaces and to address the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
