Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near Milltown
At Oak Crest, our Milltown, New Jersey location hosts the Teen Travel Program for 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students. Teen campers engage in a mix of Oak Crest activities and explore day and overnight trips. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. Conversely, 8th and 9th graders are present at camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with travel days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Additionally, teens have the choice of 2- or 3-day overnight trips.
At our Milltown, New Jersey location, Camp provides a structured group schedule for teenagers. Campers are organized into groups of 10-15, each under the supervision of rigorously vetted counselors. The daily schedule incorporates two free swim sessions, along with activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses. Additionally, a variety of athletic and creative activities are offered, as well as two designated Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teens have the freedom to select their preferred activity, enabling them to explore a diverse range of options by choosing a new activity for each period.
At our Milltown, New Jersey location, when our teens venture beyond the camp premises, they rigorously adhere to Oak Crest’s Travel Protocols for Safety. All Teen Travel campers and their parents are required to sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Like other camp divisions, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are under the vigilant supervision of an adult Division Head, who oversees the division within the camp and accompanies campers on both day and overnight trips. Our Teen Staff receives specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and manage the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
