Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near Monmouth Junction
In our Monmouth Junction, New Jersey location, teenage campers at Camp Oak Crest follow a meticulously planned group schedule. They navigate through their daily activities in small groups of 10-15 campers, under the vigilant supervision of thoroughly vetted counselors. This well-structured routine encompasses two dedicated free swim sessions, exhilarating activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a wide spectrum of athletic and creative pursuits, and not one, but two Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teens enjoy the flexibility of selecting their preferred activities, providing them with the opportunity to explore a diverse range of options by choosing a new one during each Choice period.
At our Monmouth Junction, New Jersey location, the safety of our teenage campers remains paramount, especially when venturing beyond the camp premises. We enforce rigorous safety protocols known as the Oak Crest Travel Protocols. To ensure a commitment to safety, all Teen Travel campers and their parents are required to sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Similar to other divisions within the camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs operate under the watchful eye of an adult Division Head. These Division Heads are responsible for supervising their respective divisions within the camp and accompanying them on both day and overnight trips. Our dedicated Teen Staff undergoes specialized training to adeptly supervise campers in public spaces and effectively address the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
