Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near Neshanic Station
At our Neshanic Station, New Jersey location, Oak Crest offers a comprehensive Teen Travel Program tailored to 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students. Within this program, our teen campers actively participate in a variety of Oak Crest activities while also having the exciting opportunity to embark on day and overnight trips beyond the camp’s premises. To provide more details, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. Conversely, 8th and 9th graders have their camp days on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with travel days scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. For added flexibility, teenagers can choose between 2- or 3-day overnight trip options.
At our Neshanic Station, New Jersey location, our Teen Camp program operates on a well-organized group schedule. Teens are divided into smaller groups consisting of 10-15 campers, with dedicated counselors who undergo rigorous screening. This structured schedule comprises two designated free swim sessions, a variety of activities including the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, as well as a broad range of athletic and creative pursuits. Additionally, there are two Choice periods integrated into the schedule, during which teens have the autonomy to select activities according to their preferences. This allows them to explore a diverse array of activities, with the option to choose a new one during each Choice period.
In Neshanic Station, New Jersey, we prioritize safety for our teen campers, both within and beyond our camp premises. When our teens venture outside the camp, they strictly adhere to Oak Crest Travel Protocols designed to ensure their safety. All Teen Travel campers, along with their parents, are required to sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract, underscoring our commitment to responsible conduct.
Similar to other divisions within the camp, our 7th Grade Teen Travel and 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs operate under the vigilant supervision of an adult Division Head. These experienced individuals are responsible for overseeing their respective divisions within the camp and accompany the campers on both day and overnight trips, ensuring their well-being.
